“红颜知己”对应的英文？
现在想到的是 Confidante， 按Dictionary的解释：1）A woman to whom secrets or private matters are disclosed -- 可以交心并且保密的女性； 2）A woman character in a drama or fiction, such as a trusted friend or servant, who serves as a device for revealing the inner thoughts or intentions of a main character -- 戏剧小说中的角色扮演，以挚友或随侍的角度去 反映 主角的内心世界 。 又由于Confidante 源于法文，故而 Confidant 就可 对应为 蓝颜知己。 但比较其他词语：Chum， Pal， Intimate， Mate 究竟哪个词最准确呢？ <IMG alt="" src="http://bbs.chinatownese.com/images/smilies/default/smile.gif" border=0 smilieid="1"> 个人觉得应该是Confidant比较适合，“红颜知己”应解释为“female confidant”更确切一些。 Confidante=Female Confidant， 所以用Confidante 就可以了。 因为这个词源于法文，所以词尾多的那个字母“e"就表示了词性的阴性属性，即可以指女性。但我觉得上述这几个词都无法完全传意出“红颜知己”的意味或韵味，不知有没有更确切的词语，或者直接用拼音音译然后再括号解释呢？:) 再补一点，文化的差异导致了很多翻译其实都无法真正能完全对应上，所以有时用音译再加上解释未尝不是种好办法，再加以时间，将此词成功植入外文。 比如，食物中的“Sushi”寿司就成功从日文经音译（更重要是文化交流）移植入了英文：“Dim-Sun”点心也类似地从广东话移植入了英文。
